Through his creative passion, all of his sons (5 sons in total) followed in the art of furniture design by inspiration. Two of his sons now operate an award winning international furniture design company in the Philippines, while his two other sons helped build the family business on the Gold Coast. One of them Ed Murillo, has successfully ventured into Timber Shutters and Blinds in 2002 and has been involved in that industry since. That business is now known as Apex Shutters and Blinds.
